The aged and disability care sectors are facing very specific challenges in light of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As we respond to this situation, the health and safety of everyone remains our key priority.

We are all certainly in a unique situation and know that the COVID-19 pandemic will impact people in varying ways. But there is one thing in common. The essential values of care and compassion have never been more important. These values are also those that are entrenched in everything we do at Royal College of Healthcare and here at Royal College, we continue to operate and deliver support and encouragement to you during these challenging times.

It is important to note, however, that for everyone’s health and safety, observations will be on hold across all courses. We will keep you updated on the duration of this as information from health authorities and the Government become available. However, we have adjusted our learning journey to ensure our learners will still be able to keep studying the theory component of their course.

For current learners, we have prepared a set of FAQ to help you understand the operational changes to your course.

The COVID-19 situation is changing rapidly and regular updates are being monitored to keep up-to-date with any restrictions and closures. The latest information for Australians is available via the Australian Government Department of Health and the Department of Education, Skills and Employment. For global updates, visit the World Health Organisation’s website.

More than ever, care and compassion are needed during this uncertain time. Our trainers and local representatives are available via email, phone and video calls to provide support.
